Latest Addiction...: )

This is my latest addiction.  It is titled Alice Academy or Gakuen Alice.  I like it because it gives the feeling of lightness while you know that something dark lurks in the plot.  The characters in the story, or rather the characters of the individuals in the story captivates me.  Mikan, the leading character for one is not my type of a person.  She is so noisy and energetic, I'll be annoyed with her around.  Eventhough, she was able to get on the good side of almost everybody, no matter how gradual by doing good and heroic deeds.  Imagine jumping across two flying...errr...chickens to save a boy because she doesn't want the name of Hotaru--her best friend and inventor of the mechanical chickens that the boy is riding on--to be tainted beacsue of the accident.  Isn't that brave?  I wouldn't do it for the same reason it was done.  Well, speaking of Hotaru, that's one character she got there!  She is smart--an honor student--and...uhmm...kinda apathetic.  Other people can describe her as a cold hearted creature.  She is Mikan's bestfriend and she cares for her is her own way.  There are other inting characters as well, but this entry is not made to tell all of them.  hehe...

Alice Academy, on the other hand is a school for "gifted" students, more like students with special abilities.  It is not a hidden organization or anything but a formal institution.  However, in the story, it seems that the Academy is not as good as it seems.  I say, things will get darker as time passes by.  As of now, I really want to find an english version of its manga series.  I am too impatient to wait for it on animax once a week!   

Reign of Terror--enrollment na naman!!!

I am yet to get much out of this vacation and here I am inquiring when the enrollment is going to be. I am not in any way excited about getting myself tortured with another set of papers and exams, not to mention all the reserch papers waiting for me, but what the heck, it is more thrilling than getting stuck with nothing but the television and housechores. By the way, I am into anime again. After all the trouble that I have undergone to get this attachment to anime out of the way, here I am again, planning to buy english versions of the manga of "Alice Academy"--my latest addiction. I have another anime that I like. It is new on animax. It is "Full Metal Alchemist". As far as I know, GMA7 aired this series before but I totally ignored it. There is something about "tagalized" versions that I don't like, if it ever was "tagalized" when it was shown in GMA7. Anyway, I didn't watch it then and I am watching it now. My only problem now is how am I gonna watch the series now that classes are starting and the dorm has only one television. By the way, that is the same television that I have ignored for about two years now.

Also, I regret that I have let my talent in drawing rot. I ignored it for quite a while now, and it is such a shame that I have to practice the basics if I want to draw like I did before. You see, I used to draw comic strips, although I have to smoothen the storyline a bit. But I gave up trying before I could even start, and mind you, it is not because of crappy drawing. It just like i lost patience and gave it up.

I hope that I'll do well this school year. Last school year's performance is a real improvement. Well, I want to improve it again this year. Although last school year's performance is better, it was not my best.

Well, looking forward to it...
